Ed graduated from Tulane University with a psychology major in 1969, spent two years in the United Stated Army and returned to school, receiving a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Houston in 1973. Ed has been in the title industry since 1978, and has provided escrow audit services since 1987. He founded Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC in 2012 with Jane Schultz.
JANE H. SCHULTZ, CPA, CFE
East Texas
Jane graduated from New Mexico State University in 1976 and has been an auditor and consultant ever since. Her audit background includes internal and fraud auditing in the banking, insurance and title industries. She also spent three years as consultant to the president of American General Corp (now AIG). Jane has been performing escrow audits with Ed Hill since 2005 and helped to found Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC in 2012. Jane is our managing partner and also assists new title agencies with financial statements for licensing in Texas.
KATIE SALLEAN, CPA
Houston
Katie graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and started her career at KPMG in the audit services division. She has owned her own web design firm and has been in the title industry for over 15 years, working as a Senior Escrow Accountant at Stewart Title and then as Escrow Auditor at Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC.
BELINDA ALLEN, CPA
North Texas
Belinda graduated from Texas A&M University in 1982 and has spent her entire professional career in the title industry. For almost 25 years, she worked in the Audit Services Department at Stewart Title Guaranty Company as an Auditor and Manager and now as Escrow Auditor at Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC.
MARCIA HATFIELD
North Texas
Marcia has over 25 years working in Escrow Accounting for title companies. Her background is reconciling bank statements, working with audit firms and dealing with multiple banks. She handles the bank confirmation process for all Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC clients.
NICOLE HEMMAT
Houston
Nicole graduated from University of Houston and started her career at First American Title Company as South-Central Regional Auditor in 2001. Between 2007 to 2013, Nicole worked as an Escrow Specialist Consultant and worked with several independent title agents. She joined Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC as an Escrow Auditor in 2013.
MISSY DEEN, CPA
North Texas
Missy graduated from Texas Tech University and started her career at Price Waterhouse in the audit services division. Missy has over 11 years of experience in financial reporting and accounting in the commercial real estate industry and 8 years of experience as title company controller. She joined the team at Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC as an Escrow Auditor in 2014.
TERI RIEDEL, CPA
West Texas
Teri worked in the title industry for ten years prior to receiving her accounting degree from Texas Tech University. She was an auditor for the Texas Department of Insurance-Title Examinations Division and retired in 2016 with almost 16 years of experience auditing title insurance agents. After retiring from TDI, Teri joined the Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC team.
DARALYN LOPEZ, CPA
South Texas
Daralyn graduated from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree and a minor in Mathematics in 2007 and spent several years as a middle & high school mathematics teacher. She then received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from Western Governors University in 2018 and her CPA license in 2020. Daralyn joined the Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC audit team in 2018.
KIMBERLY BOWLIN, CPA
East Texas
Kim began her career in bank audits after graduation from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1990. Kim moved to Katy with her husband in 1995 and was employed by a small firm where she gained valuable experience in all aspects of the public accounting field. Kim has over 30 years of experience in small business compilation and review. Kim joined the audit team at Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC in 2018.
CINDY TAYLOR, CPA
Houston
Cindy graduated from Louisiana State University and began her accounting career with Stewart Title Guaranty Company in Houston, Texas. Her 20-year career with Stewart Title took her from Audit Services where she held the position of Audit Manager to various Assistant Controller and Controller positions within the company’s Corporate Accounting, Lender Services, and National Title Services groups. Cindy feels very fortunate to have gotten to know Ed Hill during her Stewart Title days, and has enjoyed working with the Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC team over the last several years.
SANDRA PFEIFFER, CFE
Houston
Sandy is a graduate of University of Houston Downtown with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 1995. Sandy is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) since 2007 and subsequently, Sandy completed her Master of Science Forensic Studies in 2013. She began her title insurance career in 1996 and has worked continuously in the industry for over 26 years as an auditor with Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) and with Stewart Title Guaranty Company. Sandy retired from TDI in April 2022 and joined the team at Ed Hill & Company, CPAs, LLC.
